The Project |UGO| was born with Hugo Pinto’s need to make a different album of all he had done so far.

As the drummer of several bands (Alves Baby, Comitiva Charlie and Wheelchair Noise), Hugo wanted to launch a project that was more personal and could eventually trace his artistic personality unequivocally. His aim was not to launch just another band but to pursuit something – musically and lyrically - new and different, with a new identity. That’s why he created the project |UGO|.

To achieve that, he collaborated with more than a dozen musicians, mostly friends and Hugo’s partners in other musical wanderings. They all decided to be part of this musical adventure that is much more than just a solo album.

In Hugo Pinto’s own words, "... this is a creative and collective conspiracy with the goal to materialize my musical identity."
